Ok, start throwing them down ... we've got members here who are in the path of Ike and everyone down there needs our prayers and support.

Lifting up the Texas Gulf Coast!!!! Protection for life and property.

Thanks Doug. Our house is pretty much boarded up (just a few to do tomorrow) and our "irreplaceable" things are now in boxes waiting for my dad to come help me move them out tomorrow. The Pooky and I are going to my parents' house, along with our dogs, and Wacoso will head out tomorrow once the store is secured, and he will head to Waco to see a football game--he's got his priorities!

We could definitely use--and we do appreciate--everyone's well-wishes and prayers.

Sounds like we need to pray for your marriage as well! Stay safe guys and come on up if you need a place.

We are heading to Austin today. Have a 3 year old and a pregnant wife. Please pray it doesn't take us 15 hours like the last evacuation to Austin from Spring.

PS still hoping to make the game if it is still on.

It took four hours to make a 1 hr and 15 minute drive from Galveston to Katy, but I just got here. Wacoso is on Highway 6 now. Thanks for the prayers. Good luck to Canuck and his wife as well. :)

XP from Wolverines:

Wacoso and BBL are meeting for dinner at Freebirds in CS. BBL is there for work stuff, as you can imagine, there's planning to do for TAMUG.

The forecast has shifted and the storm is now projected to go in 14 miles from our house, at San Luis Pass. It's the worst case scenario for Houston, as it will go straight up the ship channel. Fill up your gas tanks, as the refineries here will sustain massive damage.

As for Wacoso and me, we just talked on the phone and realized we have to come to terms with the fact that we are going to lose everything in 24 hours, most likely. In my head, I was prepared for a few feet of water and losing some things. We are likely going to lose everything at our home and certainly our business.

(trying not to cry)

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers friends.

Things can be replaced BC, people can't. Be strong friend, you have people praying for you.
