View Full Version : Latest 2009 Recruiting Class Rankings released
Rivals National just released their latest class rankings for the 2009 class. Now, of course, everyone still has spots to fill so these will change, including for our Bears. But, as of today, Drew and his staff have another highly rated class going. I won't post the entire list of 15 here, but Baylor was at #15 on the list with only Kansas State being ahead of them at #13, as far as Big 12 schools go.

Kansas State is going to reload? I thought they were dead in the water for recruits after one and done Beasley.
Well, they are in serious trouble for this year. As in, they may not win more than a few conference games. It will be interesting to see if those highly rated guys they have sign in November or not. If they do, then yes, KSU will get better again - although it's worth noting none of those guys are even remotely close to Beasley type talent. But, the class they have committed is salty. If they wait until April to sign, then who knows - the season KSU has may play into their decision. If they get them all to Manhattan, then Martin will hang on there.

KSU will be able to recruit thanks to the national pub received from Beasley and to some degree Walker.
This will happen to Baylor when/if we get Wall to put us in the mind's of national recruits. Obviously, we're recruiting very well, but if we land Wall, we'll be in the mix with tons of national top 10 players in the next few years. It has a way of legitimizing us and giving us "street cred" with recruits. Honestly, do you think a blue chip from NJ knows much of us?

No, I do not think that. I think we are going to be in good with the NC pipeline however with our new coach. I for one do not believe he was hired just to try and land Wall. My personal feeling is that his knowledge of the pipeline for the next couple years is awesome.
Note to John Wall (if he is reading this):
Baylor is a great place to spend your one year. The Big XII is a great conference to play in. Baylor in particular has a great group of talented players that will put the biscuit in the basket if you dish it to them. You will also never see a happier group of fans as the ones you will see when you flush a rim rocking jam after rolling coast to coast against the Longhorns.
