I hate calling it a "must-win" so early on in the season, but after what Philly showed last week (although it was against the lowly Rams) and what the Giants have been able to do winning two straight weeks, we need this game to keep pace in the NFC East....especially since The 'Boys are headed to Green Bay next week to face the better off Brett Favre-less Packers.

I agree. All too often, the singers today use the song to try to exploit their perceived talent rather than sing the song as it was written.

There has been some debate as to who the crowd was booing...her or the eagles. I hope that they were booing her. She needs to understand how she made a fool of herself and of our National Anthem.

Nein, I had that problem during the Baylor game saturday night, but when I used it last night in IE it worked fine for some reason. the only change on my PC between saturday and last night was a new virus definition for McAfee.

Just watched the video of her singing it on YouTube and she didn't sound too bad until she got to "the land of the freEeEeEeEeeeEeEEEEee" and then she basically sucked. I don't think all creative interpretations of the Star-Spangled Banner are a bad thing(see Marvin Gaye), but just completely oversinging and trying to add more drama to a song that is already plenty dramatic is kind of embarassing to watch.

My other issue, besides her "singing" was the type of attitude she portrayed while singing. I was not impressed by her facial expressions, body movement, and almost cocky attitude while performing.

Yeah, her movements were pretty hard to watch, though I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on that and just say that she's into it.

that ending to the national anthem has been played for a while now... at least 6 years to my knowlege. The arrangement was written by Baylor Alumni, Raymond Sanchez which I'm sure is a huge reason we play it.

The current director Colin McKenzie is only set to be here for one more year as he will be leaving to Michigan to finish he Phd, and as you all probably know Kraus has left to Belmont in Tennessee. The second director for Bugwb is a new guy from UCLA I believe, he may or may not take over BUGWB when McKenzie takes off for Michigan. Point is, BUGWB could be very different next year if an overall new guy comes in and tries to run the show his way.
