Ok I watched Fresno State v Wisconsin Saturday night and a few thoughts came to mind. The main one was why isn't this guy coaching somewhere else? I mean at a BCS school? Is he in the middle of a big contract and the buyout is to much? Does he not want to leave? OR are there some sort of other reasons?
He always seems to field competitive teams. I know they lost to Wisconsin but it was a good game and they could easily have won.
He seems able to recruit quality athletes to come play at a WAC school. (I know they haven't won the WAC in a while but they lose to Hawaii or Boise State which have been really good the last couple of years). He has also produced some very good teams that have come close to some major upsets. Anyone remember when they almost beat USC a few years ago if it wasn't for soem cheating PAC 10 refs?
His attitude as a coach of anyone anywhere anytime also seems like the type of attitude a big time program and school would want in a coach. I know this is what I would want to come in and take over a struggling program. It seems to me he would make a good choice for some of the PAC 10 teams since he already recruits that area.
