"Microsoft was not only using Macs but also Adobe's software in place of its own Expressions Studio, which the company bills as software that "takes your creative possibilities to a new level."
To a new level of fail.

I have a friend that works for the large software company out in Redmond, and he tells me the bulk of Microsoft's servers are running linux.

MS has an Apple division so it is no shock. They also have Linux specialists.
Apple is not a competitor to MS. Were it not for MS Apple's wouldnt be running. Further, Apple uses the MS Office Software package in house too.
I want to say the current stat is something like...for every 1 Apple sold there are about 400 non Apples sold.
MS market share is ridiculous. Funny headline and story, just not a lot of meat to it.

No, nein deals with mrs nein who is a Mac person and must be armed for Mac warfare.
Actually, a forum I moderate is full of Mac Fanbois, they usually get smacked in similar fashion.

I dont feel smacked at all, since their would be no windows at all if there had been nothing for Gates to steal from Apple in the first place.

Sorry hoss, Qdos was damn sure not an Apple program. If anything it was a "joint" program. Whatever the case, Apple has made so many wrong turns they are lucky to be in business.
You also dont strike me as a fanboi

Jobs stole it from Xerox. Apple was not original.

yes he did, but like the senior engineer at Xerox at the time said, "at least Steve was invited to participate."
Also, I understand that without MS, we wouldn't have personal computers...just really, really bad ones.
QDos would not have ushered in a real personal computing era, becuz most pol don't want to learn lines of code.

Technically, if it weren't for IBM and their release of the x86 architecture, personal computing would have never happened. Prior to MS even failing out of MIT, IBM had a stranglehold on the hardware. Them opening it up allowed both Apple and Microsoft to become and maintain companies.
