Does anyone have any Christmas vacation ideas? Anywhere in the world is fine but North America is preferred. Between the dates of Dec 22 and Jan 4 preferred. Can be short or the whole time. Cruises, flights, relaxing places whatever.

Let's hear it.

Rather not with a little one. If it was just me and the missus Vegas would be SOLID. We've been several times but it no longer a place for family.

Finally going to Disney World with the wife & kids. Heard it's pretty cool around Christmas.

I say you sell the house and buy yourself an RV. That's a recreational vehicle. Then buy a worm farm to sell for bait and coast into the nearest relatives town on fumes. Make sure the black dickey is tucked in nice and tight in the v-neck.

sheesh...hahaha.

I thought about Disney. Good idea. Has anyone ever vacationed over Christmas? Vegas goes dark (i.e. the shows take a break for the most part). Branson kind of does as shows kick back up on the 27th. Also, we were just there. I thought about hiking Yosemite but I am not sure about that with a little dude. NYC? South Beach? meh. Cozumel or something similar. Could be fun. Just looking for ideas.

You could do San Diego. Lots to do - Sea World, Legoland, Disneyland (about 90 minute drive), etc. Can still go to the beach in December, just not in the water unless you're brave. A little chilly. Some Indian casinos close in case you get the itch.

Are the parks open on Christmas Eve and day?

Cozumel has a great festival and mass around Christmas. Parades in the streets, town square, etc... BOBB should have seen it or you could take a Disney cruise with the little one.

A quick look -
Sea World is open every day in December
Disneyland and Disney California also open every day in December
Legoland only closed Tuesday/Wednesday the first three weeks of the month

We are considering the Disney cruise. Since we were jsut down in Cozumel I was thinking about somewhere else but that is a great idea. I lvoed Cozumel and would go back in an instant.

San Diego is a great idea. We will probably go there when Brady is a bit older.

The age thing was our only concern too.
Hawaii.
Been seriously discussed.

Last year, we went to Marco Island, FL the day after Christmas. We stayed at the Marriott there for about 10 days and had a great time. It was our second time to Marco Island and the first time we rented a condo. We actually went to Disney for one day too, which was a little over a 3 hour drive. Disney is packed during the Christmas holidays, but my kids loved it so it made it worthwhile to me.
