Candace is not living in Naperville now. Last I knew she was living in LA. Her mom and dad divorced a couple years ago. Her mom was working with the Chicago Sky last year, not sure if she still is now or not. Her dad, Larry, still lives out this way. He loves Brittney Griner.

LOL!! I like the Pokey Chapman reference. Candace had two AAU coaches in high school. One was her father Larry and the other was Mike Henry. Larry played for Iowa in the Mid 1970's and Mike Henry was on the Iowa 1980 team that went to the final four with Lute Olson. Mike Henry grew up with Kim Mulkey in Louisiana and they've known each other for a long time. I forget the exact tie but Sonja Hogg knew Mike and Kim growing up as well. I believe Sonja babysat KM and Mike when they were little but I can't remember now. I spoke to Sonja about it several years ago but the details are a bit fuzzy in my mind. The point is Sonja knew they both growing up. Very small world.

Just a majority. No need to look past the Division I rosters in college football to make that fact known. But I am in your camp, having a personal relationship with a stellar athlete is fun. My good friend in high school has been the reigning Tiddlywinks National Champion for over a decade. If it were not for that Uzbecki that literally does nothing but practice all day every day, he could call himself world champion.
