Went and got my vote on today. Anyone else voted yet?

Showed up at the library. Was directed to the "young man" that you can see in the blue shirt on the left.

Picture of the polling setup. They had nine total booths, eight regular and one handicapped-accessible.

I was hoping for Pig Latin, but English will suffice.

Went through with voting for Barr. I figured at the very least, my first Presidential vote should be cast for who I agree with the most.

Rocking the sticker afterwards. Mission accomplished thumbs up!

Good for you.

Like the pics. The last one is a little rough though.

Is that a maroon colored shirt? Ouch.

Good on ya for voting though.

It's burgundy.

Edit: Just realized how offensive the shirt color combined with my hand gesture was so I fixed the original post.

Congrats on your vote. I wonder if I can early vote.

Glad you voted. I'm surprised anyone votes for Barr, though. I'd vote Libertarian if Barr wasn't on the ticket. Looked into his history...democrat, republican, aha! Libertarian! That's just in a nutshell why I couldn't vote for him. I am impressed that you voted FOR who you wanted and not against another candidate (which is easy to do).

Smaller government, fewer taxes, and more freedoms...yet many libertarians vote for Obama. I don't get it. McCain is closer to Libertarian than Obama will ever be. I'd argue that McCain is closer than Barr in all honesty.

BTW, I voted Monday. Voted for McCain. I did vote for a Libertarian on the ballot as well as a democrat. The rest were either republican or didn't have a party indicated.

Yeah, Barr's past has concerned me, but I'm willing to assume that he actually supports the positions he claims to support, and isn't just a washed-up Republican who still wants some attention.

Congrats on your vote. I wonder if I can early vote.

My understanding is that anyone registered in Texas can early vote. To be able to vote for your local officials, you need to find your specific early voting location, but if you just want to vote in national or statewide elections, then you could vote at any early voting location in Texas.

I early voted Monday. I did vote for 3 democrats. Go figure--one is a BU grad, so that trumps party affiliation.

You can early vote anywhere within your county during early voting. I voted at the Galveston County Courthouse.

Thank you for photoshopping your shirt picture. You look a bit like BBL, and the maroon/thumbsup/BBLishness would have just been too much.

Banterer...no worries. McCain will take Texas so your vote for Barr won't hurt too much.

and a write in for Paul in Texas doesn't count.

I would have given Paul serious consideration if he were on the ticket as a Libertarian or Independent.

Sheila Jackson-Lee went to Baylor????

Those are fighting words.

As far as I can tell, Sheila Jackson Lee has no education beyond "how to stand in line of every TV camera within a 50 mile radius."

The way she was in every photo op and press conference in GALVESTON, where she doesn't have a single constituent, made me really ill.

You mean her com-passion* does not extend past her district boundaries?

I voted this morning.

We need to start a GGR exit poll and see how it corresponds to Texas as a whole. My guess would be not very well, but it might be interesting to look at anyway.

Me, too.

This election, like the last 4, have come down to selecting the least objectionable candidate from one of the main parties.
