She got away with it. Just like everybody knew she would from day one.

I hope she gets the maximum sentence of ten years. I don't feel sorry for her in the least -- old woman or not.

I hope she gets the maximum sentence of ten years. I don't feel sorry for her in the least -- old woman or not.I'd like to think she will, but since they dismissed half the counts to get the amount of theft down from $511,000 to no more than $99,500, which puts it just under the 2nd degree felony cap, I'm not optimistic.
Read this (http://www.wacotrib.com/news/content/news/stories/2008/10/26/10262008wacmargaretfolo.html) story and the comments and the outlook for "justice" looks even bleaker.
I agree with the comment that a federal investigation should be done.

She is from Waco amd the wife of Coke Mills, who at one time either was a Texas State Senator or Representative or he ran for the position--I don't remember-been too long and I don't think that he did much if he was in one of those positions. He also is a Waco attorney. Hope she gets the max-stealing money especially some funds that had been donated to the Downtown Waco Association.

You may be right, however, I hope not. I don't really understand why some of the charges were dropped but I am finding it very difficult to believe that she will just walk without doing some amount of jail time (2-3 years). The old guard can't control what a jury does in this deal. Let's hope the jury is as mad as everyone else.
