Current rankings have us at 28 and 29 (ESPN.com - USA Today, etc.), but behind Kansas, UT, and OU (not necessarily in that order). I thought I read that we were #2 in the Big XII coaches' poll, so what gives? Am I remembering the coaches' poll incorrectly or are the other polls out of synch with the coaches in the Big XII?

well, we are tied for 3rd in most of the polls i have seen. I think KU being ranked at this point is silly, but by years end they are gonna be legit again. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they ended up winning the big 12 tourney. They have a really solid freshman class.

As far as OU and UT: Griffin, Griffin, Crocker, Warren are all gonna be ptpers (thank you dickie v for that word).... I don't know if they will win the conference, but they probably should. UT is going to be really solid, we will have a serious struggle with those 2 teams. TAMU is going to give us hell also...

Kansas is so fortunate for getting to play the weak north 2 times. did the big 12 south just become the best conference in the world? i think it may have

The Big XII south is ridiculous every year. Its only when all the teams go undefeated in pre-season that it becomes so crazy. Imagine if we had been 4-0 rolling into the Oklahoma game... we would easily be bowl eligible, and may have had the strength to knock off Mizzou.
