A. Jones is LONG and can hit from anywhere on the floor. I don't know that he will be a bigtime guy this year, but give him a year to bulk up and learn the offense and he will be a PLAYER. His stroke is SWEET.

Seriously... I know we are two games in, but I think we are light years past last year's squad. Acy and Jones are the real deal, Lace looks healthy, and Dugat/CJ are there same good selves. Even Lomers threw down a slam tonight.

I wouldn't go "light years" by any means. We are good--better than we've ever been--but we still have some big, big problems that need to be addressed. I am confident that Drew and Co. will address them, but we are nowhere near a finished product right now.

I should have clarified my statement with (talent wise) for the light years comment. We had no one like Acy last year. No one like A. Jones last year, and I believe CJ has really upped his game over the year. I also love having David Wesley as a bench manager. That guy has 14 years of next level in him, so I have a strong feeling our guards will be the real deal this season.

Mrs. Limnos and I got to sit VERY close to the court today and we had a blast. The game was a little slow and we didn't look as sharp, but our team is LOADED with talent. I eagerly look forward to the Wazzu road game. That game will tell us a lot about Bears, but we are very good and will be for some time.

Acy is good, and I don't want to take anything away from his play... i just want to see him do the same thing against talented teams. This is Paul Quin and Centennary so far.

- Our D still needs a lot of work. Particularly in the lane.

- Rogers looks more focused on getting to the basket.

The broadcast was saying that Acy and Udoh (Michigan Transfer sitting this year), have been the best thing that could possibly have happened to Kevin Rogers. Now he has two people to bang against in practice. Udoh was an all Big-10 defender, so you can't help but think Rogers is getting some great practice. You are right about Acy... he is still a little unrefined, but I think these tune-up games before the Big XII will make a huge difference. They also talked about all the camps that CJ went to over the summer... between that and having David Wesley on the sidelines, I now actually do think he will be drafted.
