Baylor was slotted in a third-place tie in the 2009 Big 12 Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, released Tuesday by the league office. The Bears (32-26, 11-16 in 2008) earned 59 points along with Oklahoma State. This marks the second consecutive year in which the league's coaches picked Baylor to finish third.

Man our rankings are weird. Baseball America has us at 8, the others at 17-18.
