Gregg Glime's one-out RBI double snapped a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh, and Logan Verrett tossed 2.1 scoreless innings of relief as No. 6 Baylor edged Houston 3-2 in Friday's first-day action at the Houston College Classic. It was the fourth one-run victory in six games for Baylor (5-1) this season.

the BYU game was the lone exception to the one run games prior to the UCLA game Saturday night.
