BU versus Texas State

In a dramatic pitchers duel, BU outlasts Texas State 22 - 17. Yep that's right. The final score was 22-17. BU was up something like 14 or 15 to 0 after 3 innings and then our pitching went completely south.

I remain very concerned about our pitching this year. After Volz and Verrett, it sure doesn't seem like we've got much. Getting to Omaha could be pretty damn tough.

yeah, Shawn didn't impress me on Monday. When he's on, he's on, but when he's off....watch out! I like him and respect him very much. I know he'll improve.

We were up 17-1 at one point. Ugh. We need to identify a couple more guys who can get up for games and perform a la Verrett. That young man is something special.

I left game in mid 4th to go watch basketball game, and by time i got home to get update on computer......sheeeezzz. it was 17-14.
BU bats looked good in first 4 innings, and thought noway this was gonna turn.

what made our night was my little boy got his first foul ball, what a highlight.

There was a laugh in the crowd around me when they announced the score at the mens game last night. That is a horrible score for baseball. More like an odd football score.
