Baylor guard LaceDaruis Dunn was selected an honorable mention freshman All-America by CollegeHoops.net (http://www.collegehoopsnet.com/new/2008-collegehoops-net-all-freshman-team-42232), the organization announced Friday.Dunn averaged 13.6 points and 4.1 rebounds (both figures second on the team) in his first season at Baylor. He was one of five Big 12 freshman honored by CollegeHoops.net.

I am so happy that Lace is at Baylor. I love the way this young man plays. He wears his heart on his sleeve and leaves it all out there. He won me over after the Arkansas game when he looked stunned that we lost the game. He expected nothing less than a win. Give me a young athlete like that every day and I will be happy. The man plays to win and deserves this honor.

I think most are proud of ALL athletes that put on the Baylor uniform. Lace in particular is a great athlete and I hope his next couple years at Baylor are phenomenal.

wasn't he hurt most of last year? can't wait to see him at 100 percent the entire year.

I hope we are able to keep him out of the NBA over the next couple of years.
