I changed the title of a thread in the pro sports forum, but it's not showing as the new thread title in the forum. When you click on the thread it shows the updated title though.

Which thread and what do you want it to say?

Edit---> Fixed it for you. I figured it out.

Probably a small glitch related to our trouble yesterday. It should have changed. I actually had to add a "." at the end of the title to change it and then delete the period. It was odd. I have seen that once before with vbulletin but I'm not sure why it happens.

It's either a set preference by the admin, or a correctable glitch. I moderated a vBulletin board for about 2 years that had that problem for the first 6 months of it's existence, then went away when the owner figured out how to fix it.

After a certain time period, posters can not change the title of their threads. It is a set preference, as some people on other boards change their title every day and it drives some people nuts.

With as much moderation as we have in place, just PM us.

So what is the setting? I know that many people change a thread title as the thread runs, or as things get updated.


Again, I think it is a mistake to design the whole board with the kooks in mind. MODERATORS CAN FIX THESE PROBLEMS EASILY! :)
