It's on all of the stations right now, but I figured I would pass it on.

Thank you for bringing this up, Darlin'.

My sister, who many of you know, has cancer. Now, today, I can say had cancer. She is on her way here from M.D. Anderson in Houston. The two bouts with chemotherapy and a very heavy dose of radiation seems to have done the trick. PRAISE GOD!

I ask that you keep her in your prayers because they did find a very small spot of "uncertain significance" but the doctor seemed unconcerned about it. They will check her again in three months.

But I recorded "Stand Up 2 Cancer" on the DVR in the guest room for her to see when she gets in about an hour from now. She can watch it while she goes to sleep.

Praise God indeed.

I was thinking of Cory's fight, and how he fought hard. I recently learned that my stepmother has stage 1 Ovarian Cancer, and will be finding out later this month if she will be going through chemo this fall.

I will be contributing, and there are also other places you can shop and part of the proceeds go toward this fund.

Thanks TG.

I need to find out more details from my dad (how long she is staying in the hospital for the surgery later this month), but I plan to get her the stand up to cancer bouquet... part of the proceeds to toward the fund.

Plus, its pretty. ;)

How did I miss this great thread?

I thank God every day for those who dedicate their lives to finding therapies and a cure for cancer. I like many of you miss Cory. I like many of you give all praise to God for the success of treatment for TG's sister. I like many of you am affected by cancer. My mother has non-hodgkins lymphoma and has gone through over the past 2 years some awful bouts with chemotherapy. It absolutely ruined her at times. Like many others her strength is a testament to her faith and will to fight. She has made it through the chemo and is on the back end (I hope) of her recovery. Hopefully she too can say that she beat cancer.

I am grateful for those who put on this show and volunteered their time, talents, finances etc. God bless them all.

Just figured I would bump the thread. It's a worthy cause.

I miss ya, uncle kenny.

I couldn't agree more.

One of my students mother's passed away from cancer last week and I have had family members who have passed away as well.

It seems hard to find someone who hasn't had a family member or friend be affected by cancer.

My Dad had prostate cancer. I'm glad to say had after surgery and treatment.
