Good afternoon everyone I wanted to see if everyone in DFW wanted to get together Friday September 19th. I will be getting back from vacation for the weekend and would love to get together. I am down for whatever anybody wants to do. Hope we could hang out and maybe have some beers. :)

I will likely have to miss this one. I am taking the hunter safety education course with my two youngest girls. They want to hunt, and they have to have the course to do so.

No uptown shouldn't be to far for me. I used to work in Dallas so im pretty familiar with the area. I used to drive through downtown D all the time. Where is Uptown exactly? As long as they have some good beers I am good. :) Watching the game is a good idea.

Greggor - uptown is kinda a generic way of describing the part of Dallas that is between let's say Victory Park and "downtown" (although I am geographically retarded so by all means don't take my word as gold here) - mostly anything on McKinney Avenue is considered uptown or that general area. It's a fairly young, frat-boyish area overall, not quite my scene but I've been meaning to give that place a try because the guy is a Baylor guy.

Lemmon, McKinney, Cole, Turtle Creek, Maple...those are all considered part of uptown. Basically anything north of 45, east of 35, west of 75, and south of Mockingbird.

I have gone to the one on 75 and Walnut hill several times for HH...it was close to my old office.

Uptown is not so much elite as it is the home of all the Dallas 30k millionaires.

As for Ed... yes, he does not check it regularly, but you can call the tavern directly. Bexar was correct, he was our official hangout spot for the BU-Arkansas game. He is glad to host us anytime we want, but it is just a matter of him knowing ahead of time. He is the official KU in Dallas watchparty location, so I would love to beat them out.
