View Full Version : My fantasy team is terrible
I guess that's what I get for printing out ESPN rankings 15 minutes before my draft.
My RB's - Addai and McFadden combined for a whopping 9 pts in week 1.
The Vikings D - supposedly one of the top units in Fantasy Football - got shellacked by Aaron Rodgers and the Pack.
Cleveland's vaunted offense scores 1 TD - so my kicker gets 1 pt. And my TE got next to nothing.
Rivers at QB and WR's of Fitz and Plexiglass ain't gonna cut it.
I hope you guys are better off than I am. Although, at least I didn't have Tom Brady.

I started the Vikings as well. I have good RB's which I always load up on but my receivers are a little light. I'll probably make a trade involving one of my RB's for a WR soon.

Go and get Eddie Royal if you haven't already. 9 catches, 146 yards and 1 touchdown against Oakland. Cutler apparently loves throwing to this guy.

I split. the team I was worried about in the big ESPN local pool won despite have a poor qb outing (Carson Palmer). The team I felt better about lost. Go figure.

Don't trade Adrian Peterson (Vikings). You can trade Chicago's Adrian Peterson. :D

All I need to say about my team in week 1 is that Lendale White and Antonio Gates led me in scoring. Oh yeah, and I had Brady. :(

Ugh, just moved almost my entire bench onto the team. Still waiting to see if I can get a better QB than Garrard.

I pretty much dominated my first week. :)
For the record, the Vikings defense will be just fine, no doubt. Give it time and they will pull it together.

I'm 3-0 in my leagues this week. :)
When picking one of the teams, my bf asked who I was and what I had done with his girlfriend.
All I did was pay attention. :)

Except THAT WEEK DOESN'T COUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was referring to the league that DID count this week, in which I won and was the high scorer with 149.97 points (next closest was 125.93).

I won my first game 115-104. Thanks in part to Michael Turner having a breakout performance and leading all fantasy league scorers. And I love my Jets D, they were my sleeper pick and did well for me.

Have Adrian Peterson, but Mulroney, McGahee, and McCallister are my other 3 RBs in a two RB team. Also, Torry Holt did nothing. Dallas Clark got hurt. fun.

The key to most fantasy teams is picking not necessarily the favorites but the players that are more consistent along with a couple of rooks that show promise. I agree with Bigshot in getting Eddie Royal. Although I do expect his numbers to go down with the return of Marshall. I would also go with DeSean Jackson, Matt Forte, Chris Johnson, and Justin Fargas. Anthony Fasano might also be a good backup TE. I would drop Dawson as a kicker and go after Crosby or Brown.
I am doing pretty good.........went 6-1-1 in my leagues. The Vikings DEF will be fine this year, but New England might be in trouble.

I managed to get Eddie Royal now, and have decided to take a chance on Cassel at NE. Too much talent around him to not do something, unless it turns out he completely sucks.

After the first game, it seems that Anthony Fasano might be Pennington's go-to guy

This is totally like a moment of Zen for me.... third year without a fantasy team, and my Tuesdays have been utterly glorious.

This just in, Marques Colston is out for 4-6 weeks. I highly suggest going out and getting Devery Henderson. I drafted him, hopefully nobody else in your league is as smart as me.

Ok, be honest. Does anyone have Vince Young at QB?

We don't have any resident Horns that have infiltrated the board yet.

Vince is getting beat up by the media as bad as they would be by us, if they were here.

If they did then they got a break with this injury, at least for a few weeks.

Devery is a deep threat. The more logical choice would be David Patten or Jeremy Shockey, but he is prolly taken. Pretty much any WR is fair game cuz Brees loves to throw.

that's what is great about Henderson though he'll get you 80 yards and a TD on one play.
